patience with amd cards

I am already getting bombarded with Vega requests. Please understand that creating a new card involves HOURS of tedious testing. This time 3 different folks on a couple continents tested with a variety of machines and displays. It is impossible to test every configuration, but we try the best we can.

Once we have shipped some 580s and have ironed out any surprises, we'll move on to Vega cards. We will also eventually open up mail-in flashing for other Polaris cards.

We aren't slowing the roll out because we want to be jerks. We do this so the cards that reach people actually work and we don't have unhappy customers.

Updates will be posted as they become available.

Thanks again for your years of support. Hard to believe this all started with flashing a Radeon 7000 PCI card so I could cut my reel on a B&W G3. The Cube cards we did were fun, but I don't miss cutting my fingers with the Dremel when I made custom brackets for them.

If we can make Vega work, they will be coming. For now, grab a 580 and enjoy your boot screen support !

Thanks Dave. Is there a link yet for flashing service if we already own a Sapphire Pulse 580?

I am very interested in an RX 580, but I want to confirm: will these work with a legacy (CSM) Windows install? My primary reason for needing a boot screen is switching between Windows and macOS, since APFS support in boot camp is almost non existent.

I am looking forward to having my vega frontier edition flashed for a 2012 mac pro 5.1. I hope this is possible, it would be great to have a boot screen.
