And I have seen boot screens on cMP using 1080 and first Titan-X Pascal.

Obviously we need to test the EFI with actual working drivers, but we should be good to go with Mac Editions of these cards soon.

It's a good time for Macs again!

The trash can drought is lifting.

More info soon.

So what GPUs will currently run in my 12-core mid-2010 MP without needing an external PSU?

The only ones that really seem to need External PSU are the original Titan, Titan Black, and 780Ti.

Can't speak for AMD cards

GTX Titan X works well even with just 2x 6-pin but you can't use 4K or the system will shutdown. These new ones will probably do the same. GTX980Ti requires 6-pin+8-pin.

My 980ti would not run without an external PSU. A fully loaded system like mine can have power problems without it.

I just bought your 980Ti for my cMP 3.1
Would it be possible to trade it back to you for a 1080Ti?
Thank you
Oh, I am assuming I would feel the difference?

Hi, that's great news, do you sell your cards in Europe?

As far as I know the only official distributor in Europe is www.macstoreuk.com

Quote: "Mac Store UK are the sole EU Distributor for MacVidCards Products. MacVidCards are the creator of the Mac version graphics cards available today."

But I don't know how long it will take until the shop will provide flashed GTX 10XX cards or the flash service for them in Europe.

So quick question about the Titan xp -- even though "Nvidia is making it available to Mac users with new Pascal beta drivers", we would need to buy it flashed in order to see everything boot up like from the factory, correct?

Yes, NVIDIA will just make drivers.

Is it possible at El capitan too?

Sadly no. Only 10.12.4 is supported so far.

Any rumored driver support for the Titan X 12GB (Maxwell)?

Hi, just to clarify on Thomas's question.

I recently installed a Titan X Maxwell for my 5,1 Mac Pro. I had it flashed by you guys. -- Moving forward, as we begin to install new versions of the macOS, will the new PASCAL drivers be BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE with the current MAXWELL cards?

Seems like the 378.05.05.05f01 is available via the nvidia driver prefs, via the nvidia driver update check.

Guessing a Quadro P6000 could to be flashed as well?

Curious how this would be accomplished given I was under the impression that the tool to flash BIOS' for Pascal GPUs requires a public/private-key signed BIOS.

Of course that's moot if all it takes is reprogramming the chip with an external tool and no (further) checks are actually done on the card to make sure other than the checksum as it is done in the past.

Will I have a 4K boot screen via display port on a gtx 1060 for example ? The old gen cards don't seem to support 4K boot screen even when flashed.

Yes it will. My GTX 980Ti had 4K boot screen, but was flashed by MacVidCards.

So I'm trying to figure out whether the mid-2012 5,1 MacPro has sufficient power to handle two 10-series pascal video cards. I badly need to upgrade my video cards and actual purchased an Auroa A5 because I needed the graphics capabilities.

But now that there is driver support for 10-series pascal cards, I'm having a hard time discovering whether it is even possible to install two of these video cards. I run three monitors right now and need to be able to do so.

I remember when I upgraded to the 680 GTX a few years ago there were power issues. So I have to imagine there might be problems trying to install two 10-series cards. Does anyone know whether I can install say two GTX 1080's? I need at least a 1070 in one slot and would like another 10-series card in the other. Thanks!
