Great news, our egpu cards work fine in 10.13.5

As expected, all of our cards work the same in 10.13.5 as they did in 10.13.4. Even the "it Just Works" eGPU cards.

Multi-eGPU tests may appear in near future.

Pre-orders for eGPU cards start in next few days. Will only have a few for sale initially. Regular customers can email for a shot at the first ones. We're going to do the Creme de la Creme of 1080Tis to start. EVGA SCX cards, pix soon.

I am having problems with 10.13.5 and latest Nvidia Web Driver 387.10.10.10.35.106 on my MacPro5,1 with TITAN X (Maxwell).

I am seeing some scrolling text during boot-up that I have never seen before and the system will only boot using the default MacOS Graphic Driver.

MacRumours forums are reporting a possible bug with missing microcode in the BootROM update for High Sierra (MP51.0087.B00) and that is the Boot version now installed on my machine. Could that be the issue?

The scrolling text has been there for me since the inception of HS 10.13. My Gigabyte MVC flashed GTX1080 is working fine for me in 10.13.5 with the new web driver. I have updated the FW to MP51.0087.B00 with no issues. Booting your Titan X with the Apple default driver will show the desktop, but there will be no acceleration.

Thanks Lou. That's interesting that it's working for you. I don't know why the Nvidia driver won't kick-in, but with the Apple drivers I can only use one screen and am having some drawing refresh issues.

The MacRumours thread suggests if the firmware is version 15 it has the microcode, if it's version 0 it's missing. Do you have a MacPro5,1? It was a hunch to me that the firmware update might be related.

Read previous blog posts. You probably just need to do a PRAM reset and re-select driver.

Intel microcode has nothing to do with this

Thanks Dave, you were exactly right, a PRAM reset and then reselecting the nvidia driver fixed my issue.

So far, my MacBook is working really well, that's why I don't have an issue about this matter. I am so thankful because I haven't experienced any bug yet from my MacBook. Perhaps, it is because I really care about my MacBook that I try to protect it as much as possible. Hopefully, my fellow MacBook users will try to have EGPU cards if they are facing some issues with their unit. I am sure it's going to be a huge help for them.
