Despite Earthquakes and fireworks, we have begun shipping and the first 580s should be in people's hands starting today.

Looking forward to hearing folks thoughts on them.

Will start also offering 560s in near future, then we'll have a look at those Cosworth Vegas.

Congratulations! This is great news, and I predict that these cards and their successors are going to be hot sellers for MVC.

I'll just add that because a lot of us classic Mac Pro owners have already purchased RX580s in order to move to Mojave, there is pent up demand for the flashing service for these cards too. (Which I'm sure you're already fully aware of.)

Fantastic news any chance for the 590 series of cards ? as I have one and if you start releasing a diy patch that worked that would be great at the moment I use bootrunner which is fine except when the mac os gets patched and knocks out NVRAM settings !!

17G8029 just released - 2019-004 Security Update.

Now we need to wait for NVIDIA Drivers, again.

^^^^They're here:

BUT - This thread is for The AMD RX580 that uses Apple supplied graphics drivers. Certainly no need for this.

Installed the 2019-004 update and the WebDriver 387.10.10.10.40.129 and everything works as before.

Hi thanks for doing this again I,m have just purchased the rx580 from the your UK partner ...I notice this in the specs on the card can I ask what it means

"You may wish to add another with dual 6 to 8 if you intend to use at full power."

You need to use a Y adapter to plug both motherboard power cables into the video card, one cable will not have enough power under full use.

Here is an one example:

Thanks for offering this new product! Would one of these flashed AMD 580 cards be a recommended upgrade for my AMD R9/280 in a MacPro 3,1 running OS 10.11.6? Better than a flashed NVIDIA GTX 980? Because OS 10.12 is not officially supported by this machine, I have no intentions of upgrading the OS to 10.12 or beyond. Sorry if this is a newbie questions. My only hands-on experience with the AMD 580 is via my iMac, which is connected to two OWC Mercury Helios FX boxes, each of which contains an unflashed AMD 580.

BTW, Cosworth Vega???!!! 16v DOHC I4 with Bendix EFI???!!! Where do I pre-order one? I would prefer one with the Borg-Warner 5-speed w/OD and the Sky-Roof, but beggars can't be choosers!

There is evidence that an AMD RX580 will NOT work in a MacPro 3,1, regardless of the OS:

Thanks for quick shipping on the RX 580 card that I received in England today; it's a great upgrade from my previous MVC-flashed R9-280X Gigabyte Windforce

I'm guessing there's no reason that I couldn't just stick the Gigabyte card into a well spec'ed PC?

Got my RX580 - han't worked at all in my 5,1 Mac Pro. Power is from both 6 pins to the card, but it has just been cycling through reboots without ever showing anything on screen. Been trying to get a response out of MacVidCards but the only comment has been are both power cables connected - I responded yes, but got no other answer. Been left with an expensive paperweight so far.

I've had flashed Nvidia GPUs up till now, the last a 980 Ti, all of which have been great. Luckily I had an old Nvidia 780 to go back to so my business doesn't die completely in the meantime!
