An exciting new development, MVC has cracked the EFI for 5700XT native support in4,1/5,1 Mac Pros. And while you need 10.15.1 for full video and audio drivers, the good news with the EFI is you still get an image in earlier OSs for basic screen use. Pre-orders start 3/1/20 for cards shipping 3/10/20 or so. (Some shipping issues with Eastern countries). Yep, no more power issues, these cards are 6&8 pin from the factory. So all the benefits of native EFI, easier switching OS's  and diagnostics, while also harnessing the power of the latest and greatest from AMD. Win/Win !

I read that OS 10.15 is not compatible with MacPro5,1. Thus, what modifications did you run to enable OS updates. And, what limitations does this pose to older MacPro5,1? Is there a significant performace improvement versus the RX580 Pulse that you carry. Many thanks for the good work that you guys do!

How much power will this new video card draw? Will this use drivers approved by apple or will be in Nvidia hell again?

These cards are just plug&play in Catalina. No drivers installation needed. Their TDP is just 225W well within the limits of Mac Pro power supply. No extra power needed.

I had a Radeon HD 5870 card and it use to shut down my mac pro 2012 all the time. I switched over to a GTX970 and had no problems. Now i am using the RX580 flashed by us guys and have no problems. All the video cards I have had that worked drew about 185max watts. Maybe the problems is caused because I have 5 internal hard drives and 2 internal SSD's plus a PCIe card.

Any chance of Bios / Chip update for the Radeon VII ? 16gig of memory is very useful for video editing :-)
