The GTX 770 is recommended as a high end card for the 3,1 Mac Pro. It uses same drivers as GTX680 and will thus always be compatible with native Apple drivers. You may chose to use the Web Drivers, or simply use the built in Apple ones. Full Metal support for Mojave in 4,1 and 5,1.
