1080Ti EFI eGPU card for Mac Pro 6,1

For the last few years eGPUs on Macs have been dependent on various crutches to run in OSX. Apple added support for AMD eGPUs in 10.13.4 but left out Nvidia support. This is unfortunate since few people actually want AMD cards if given a choice. You can finally add CUDA to your 6,1. MVC and Netkas have consistently been the source of Nvidia eGPU breakthroughs for years, here is the fruit of our labors.
We are finally, after much work and investment, offering these cards to the community. We are starting with the cream of the crop, a GTX 1080Ti from EVGA. When used with a 6,1 nMP and OSX 10.13.4 or later you have original Mac Magic here. It "Just Works". You type a simple string into the terminal and install the Nvidia Web Driver before you plug in the card. After that, you boot the machine.
Your eGPU display boots right into OSX. Feel like developing VR or gaming in Windows 10? No problem. Hold "Option" at boot and swap into that OS. You are almost unaware of the card's presence, it works like a built in display. You will need to install Window's drivers as well, but BINGO, you'll be up and running. As I write this, 3 people on the planet have been able to do this. MVC, Netkas, and Barefeats Labs. For more than a year we have been the only ones.
Join the very limited club and stretch your 6,1's legs. Works great with Oculus Rift or Far Cry 5.
Currently these cards work perfectly on nMP 6,1 and a few other Macs. We would like first batch to go to 6,1 owners. You will need to have an enclosure that supports this card, it requires some power.
Note, if you have run any of the eGPU hacks, cracks, patches , or scripts from the various eGPU sites you will need to remove them all or do a fresh install. The hacks bog down your system and make problems for the cards.
First few sales will be US only, please get in touch and confirm your system. Please ask questions via email before purchase. We want first ones to be trouble free.
You will need a Mac Pro 6,1 with a TB2 or TB3 enclosure with sufficient power to support these cards. (Tested and functional in Razor Core, Sonnet Echo Express, and Akitio Node)
Keep in mind that Apple may release firmware or drivers that impact functionality. Don't run updates until you check on our blog or Forums. When we have a fix, we will let you know.
It is likely that these cards will work perfectly on 2016 MBP 13" with function keys, 2011 iMac 27" and Mini 2014 as they have in our testing. In other Macs they may require tweaks of some sort, or may require us to write a new ROM.
But if you want a Plug & Play solution with an Nvidia eGPU that gets you into your task, not being a tester, this is the only real choice.
US sales only for first batch. First shipments on June 15th. Each card has unique UUID, continued support dependent on this UUID remaining exclusive.
